I have always been a keen runner and have completed several marathons and half marathons myself. I have coached clients at all levels from first time runners through to people with their sights set on running marathons.

I'm a busy mum and running is my little bit of "me time". There is nothing like a good run to shake off a bad mood.

No matter what your goal make sure you enjoy the experience and have lots of fun. It makes all of the challenges a lot easier.

I have been running for many years but I wouldn't call myself a natural runner, it was my least favourite class at school!

I started off training for a 5k race with my mum, sister and two daughters. I got the bug and continued from there.

I love my job, seeing people reach goals that they thought were beyond them is amazing, it doesn't matter if it's  their first 20 minute run, their first  5k, 10k or even a half marathon,  the buzz I feel is exactly the same!

When I'm not out pounding the pavements I spend my time running around after my 5  grandchildren. They definitely keep me on my toes. Running certainly blows the cobwebs away!

I have always loved going running, but I spent many years running alone. I often stopped when I didn’t think I could carry on anymore and I lacked in motivation. I used to enjoy running at high school, and would always participate in many after school sports clubs.

I was introduced to Happy Feet in 2018 by my mum’s work friends. I always remember that first night when I joined a group run. I was nervous about being left behind and really did not know what to expect. How wrong was I? Everyone was soo friendly, and even though I was running at the back, I was never left behind.

In 2019, I was delighted to be asked to train as a Leader in Running Fitness, being one of the youngest in the group, I was a bit taken aback by this, but knew I’d be up for the job. I have now spent many runs as a leader, which has enabled me to get to know other runners who I would now call my friends.

Running in a group has become my motivation, the break I need from life’s challenges. I have met soo many incredible people through Happy Feet, who all share their own stories and journeys.

What a fab group happy feet fitness is.
I had a motor cycle accident some time ago and was told I may not be able to exercise like I used to after shattering my ankle.
Whilst I was working out in the Gym I was told about Happy Feet Fitness and thought that it would be a great way to help my cardio fitness.
I started by joining a Couch to 5k course and since then I have achieved many goals with my running distances, including the Worcester City 10k with my daughter this year.
I'm now qualified as a Leader in Running Fitness and I regularly lead couch to 5k and 5k+ running groups. It's brilliant helping the runners throughout and just amazing seeing so many people achieve their own goals starting off from couch to 5k.

I first became aware of HF in 2016 when I 'met' Marie through a mutual Facebook group.  I'd never run since school and was suffering from the after effects of a year of treatment for a medical condition and was unable to walk short distances without getting breathless.
In early 2017 I joined a Walking to Fitness group and soon built up my stamina with the help and encouragement of Happy Feet.

Next I joined a HF Couch to 5km course which I completed in August 2017. From there I carried on running with the 5km+ groups slowly building up to a slow but steady 10km and last year I managed a virtual Half Marathon! I did say never again, but did another one this year!
This year I  become a run leader and after completing my Leader in Running Fitness qualification in May, I started leading groups.

Happy Feet are such a lovely group to be a part of. No one is ever left behind and we are one big happy family. They were my saviours during lock down as they kept in regular contact with the members with weekly quizzes and challenges and online exercise classes and zoom sessions. Come along and give us a try!

I’ve always loved sports, at school I was a speedster, competing in the 100 meters for my school and my county. Nowadays I run steady 5ks, 10k’s and I’ve completed 2 marathons and several half marathons.

Running is not just a great way of keeping fit but also a way of clearing my head of day to day life. There is nothing like popping your headphones on, listening to great music and going for a steady run through our beautiful countryside.

I thoroughly enjoy helping people reach their own running ‘goals’ whatever they are, the main thing is to enjoy and get what you want from your running, it really is a great all round therapy.
In my spare time apart from running I enjoy hiking and seeing the beautiful views. I also love getting lost in a good book, that’s a great escape just as running is.
Happy running = happy people.

Where do I start! ....I am VERY overweight... and just plucking up the courage to contact HFF has changed my life ... I did walking to fitness group twice, then the Couch to 5k, and now I do 5k & beyond group twice a week.
Without this very friendly and motivating group of leaders and group members I would be still sat on that couch getting bigger and bigger, I have lost weight without dieting and feel so good after my runs ... and even though it is hard.... and I’m always at the back... I feel great, mentally and physically.... and i can run at my own pace ...thank you so much.
When I was diagnosed with RA a few years ago I didn’t think I would be able to run but the support and motivation of Happy Feet has completely changed that. I might find it physically challenging still but I love the camaraderie of running in a group and truly look forward to my running sessions. I never felt like that when it came to dragging myself to the gym
Always used to struggle to run on a treadmill and realised I needed help to run for long periods of time without stopping. Happy feet has helped me gain the confidence needed in order to do this. It doesn’t matter how fast or slow you are, you are never left behind x
Absolutely love it never been active, never wanted to be, but after joining Happy Feet I am fitter and healthier than I have ever been thank you Happy Feet xxx
